Welcome to Helix

Before You Start

Hey — we're genuinely excited you're joining. The Marketing team is small (5 people), moves fast, and has real ownership over how Helix tells its story. Your work will matter from Day 1.

This checklist is your guide for the first 30 days. It's not a rigid script — it's a starting point. If you finish something early, great. If something takes longer, that's okay too. Talk to Sarah. The goal is that by the end of week four, you know what's working, you've shipped something, and you have a clear picture of what you want to build in the next 60 days.

##### Frequently Asked First-Week Questions

QWhat if I have a question and don't know who to ask?

Post in #marketing on Slack or message Sarah directly. There are no dumb questions in week one — there are only answers that save you time.

QDo I need to be at my desk during core hours?

Core hours are 10am–3pm in your time zone. Be responsive on Slack during that window. Outside of that, structure your day however you work best.

QWhen do I get access to everything I need?

Most tool access comes via IT before Day 1\. Some permissions (like HubSpot report access) are added by the team in week 1\. Flag anything missing to @it-help in Slack.

QIs it okay to ask clarifying questions in meetings?

Yes — always. You're new. Clarity beats assumptions. Most meetings go better when someone asks the obvious question.

QWhat does success look like at the end of month one?

You know your team, you know the product and the ICPs, you've shipped one piece of content (even if small), and you have a 30/60/90 plan drafted. That's a strong month one.
