Frequently asked questions
What is a storyboard template?
A storyboard template is a pre-formatted grid of panels where you sketch or describe each shot in a video, film, or ad before production starts. It maps the visual sequence, camera angles, dialogue, and timing for every scene.
What should each storyboard panel include?
Each panel should show: a sketch or description of the shot, the shot type (wide shot, close-up, etc.), the action happening on screen, any voiceover or dialogue, and the duration of the shot.
What are the most common storyboard shot types?
Common shot types: WS (wide shot), MS (medium shot), CU (close-up), ECU (extreme close-up), OTS (over-the-shoulder), POV (point of view), and EST (establishing shot).
Is this storyboard template free?
Yes — free to download and print. Describe your video concept to the AI and it will generate scene descriptions and dialogue for each panel.
