Welcome

Hello, you two.

S_&_B

Est. 2014 · Asheville

I’m Sora — a wedding and portrait photographer based in Asheville, where the mountains do half the work and the light does the rest. For twelve years I have photographed couples in old barns, on misty overlooks and in tiny courthouse rooms with only their parents watching.

My style is quiet and honest. I don’t pose you like statues or ask you to stare at the sunset for twenty minutes. I watch closely, I guide gently when it helps, and I wait for the moments that are actually yours: your dad’s hand on your shoulder, your best friend crying through the vows, the deep breath before you walk out the door.

This guide explains how I work, what each collection includes and what it costs. My hope is that you finish it knowing exactly what to expect — and feeling excited, not overwhelmed.

If you have questions, or just want to tell me about your plans, write to me. I read every message myself.

The experience

From hello to heirloom.

Working together is about much more than one day. Here is what the journey looks like, from our first call to the album on your shelf.

01

Week one

A first conversation

A relaxed 30-minute video call. Tell me about the two of you, your venue and the feeling you want to remember. No sales pitch.

02

Within 7 days

Your date, reserved

Sign the contract online and pay your 25% retainer. Your date is then closed to every other couple.

03

4–8 months before

The engagement session

An easy hour together somewhere you love. You get used to my camera, and I learn how you laugh.

04

6 weeks before

Planning, together

We build your photo timeline with your planner, list the family groupings, and scout the best light at your venue.

05

The day itself

Simply be there

I take care of the timing, the light and the family photos, so you can stay present. A sneak peek arrives within 48 hours.

06

6 weeks after

Your gallery & album

Your full gallery arrives, then we design your album together. It is printed by hand in Italy and delivered to your door.

“Sora made us forget there was a camera. When we opened the gallery, we saw moments from our own wedding we never knew had happened.”

Questions

Good to know.

i.How far ahead should we book?

Most couples book 10 to 14 months ahead. Peak autumn dates in October go first. Weekday and winter dates often stay open until a few months before.

ii.Will you be the one photographing our wedding?

Always. I photograph every wedding myself. My second photographer, Lena Ortiz, has worked beside me for six years.

iii.Do you give us the RAW files?

No. Editing is half of my craft, and every image you receive is colour-graded and finished by hand. You do receive every good frame from the day.

iv.What if it rains?

Some of my favourite images were made in the rain. I carry clear umbrellas and know the covered spots at most local venues. We will also plan a backup together.

v.Can we change collections later?

Yes. You can upgrade at any time before the wedding, and the price difference is spread across your remaining payments.

vi.Do you need a meal at the reception?

For coverage over six hours, please include a vendor meal for each photographer. We eat when you eat, so we never miss the toasts.

vii.Are you insured?

Yes. I carry $2 million in liability insurance and can send a certificate to your venue on request. I also bring backup cameras to every wedding.

viii. How are the images kept safe?

Every image is recorded to two memory cards at once and backed up in three places, including off-site, before I go to sleep that night.

“We booked Sora fourteen months out and it was the best decision of our whole wedding. The album is the first thing our guests reach for.”

Frequently asked questions

What should a photography pricing guide include?

A photography pricing guide should include a short introduction to you and your style, what the client experience looks like, your packages with prices and what each includes, add-ons, your payment plan and booking steps, and answers to common questions. This template has each section in a layout that fits a luxury brand.

Should photographers show prices in their pricing guide?

Most photographers show prices or at least a starting price. Clear prices remove clients who are not a fit before the call and help the right clients book faster. A common approach is to show full package prices and to list add-ons separately.

How many packages should a photographer offer?

Three packages work well for most photographers. Clients compare them easily, and most choose the middle option, so make the middle package the one you want to sell most and mark it as the most booked.

Is this photography pricing guide template free?

Yes. You can customize the photography pricing guide template for free and download it as a print-ready PDF to send after an inquiry or to share from your website.
